US MONEY PROBLEMS VIDEO ...
The Story of Broke
Is the US really broke? Well, that all depends on your definitions of money and debt. That aside, in this video about US money problems, Annie Leonard makes the case that we are being told it's "austerity for the masses" at the same time the 1% continue feeding at the trough, and that with smarter choices on how we spend the money we do have, all will be well, or at least much better. As usually, the fun graphics from Free Range Studios make it all quite tasty.
GP comment: We do like this video, but it does not go far enough in defining the problem. Corporate power and political influence are indeed big problems, but until we address the infinite-growth paradigm and the way money is create and managed—currently by the private banking cartel, the primary tool of the 1%—solutions for the rest of the important issues we face will remain stalled.
