These are probably the most succinct words ever written in protest against sprawl. Must we pave what we cannot understand? Anyway, you can get Joni Mitchell's whole happy diatribe in the song "Big Yellow Taxi." Here it's featured on a greatest hits album, along with other greats like the sultry "Help Me (I Think I'm Fallin'...)"; the melodically liberating "Free Man in Paris"; the bouncy, fun "Carey"; and Mitchell's unforgettable commentary on growing up, "The Circle Game." Joni Mitchell has had a long, successful career; this album provides a great way to get the highlights.
